Dr. Claudia Serrato is an Indigenous culinary anthropologist, chef, and educator dedicated to revitalizing Indigenous foodways and promoting food justice. Rooted in Mesoamerican culinary traditions from East Los Angeles, she co-founded “Across Our Kitchen Tables” to empower women of color in the culinary industry. Dr. Serrato actively collaborates with Indigenous chefs and communities across Turtle Island, emphasizing the importance of decolonizing diets and preserving ancestral culinary knowledge. She also offers virtual and in-person classes, fostering critical engagement in decolonial practices.
